Troop 2's newest scouts!

Troop 2 welcomes Jacob, Kevin, Josh, Ben, Patrick, Sean, Dakota, Matthew, Brendan, Luke, William, Matthew, Aidan, Daniel, Jonathan, and Tyler from Pack 2, who join Alek and Karl from Pack 303 as Troop 2's newest Scouts!

Troop 2 Eagle Court of Honor Photos

Troop 2's newest Eagle scouts were honored this evening with the presentation of their rank patches.

These 7 Eagles, shown here with Scoutmaster David Chase,  will be presented with their Eagle ribbons and other honors at our Eagle Award and Troop Recognition dinner on May 19th.

The photo below includes all Scouts who attended the Court of Honor, as well as Scoutmaster Chase and his assistants, Mr. Coughlan, Mr. Griffin, and Mr. Lapchak.

 

 

A great time was had by all.

 

Congratulations to our latest Eagle scouts!

7 scouts completed their trail to Eagle this week - congratulations to Nick, Josh, AJ, Ben, Jon, Tyler, and DJ for their hard work and dedication. The Eagle Board of Reviews were conducted at the Weymouth Heights Club this week over a three day period.

 

These 7 Eagles will be awarded their rank patches on Monday evening at the Troop 2 Court of Honor, 8 PM at the First Church. Our annual Eagle Awards and Recognition banquet is scheduled for May 19th.

 

Some interesting facts

 

- DJ, Jon, and Tyler were the last scouts to cross over from Cubs while Ron Parry was our Scoutmaster.

- Josh and Nick are "second generation" Troop 2 Eagles.

- Mr. Porter awarded his first Eagle to Nick's dad, and his second to Josh's, and presided over their Eagle Boards as well.

- Jon and Tyler are the second members of their family to achieve the Eagle rank from Troop 2

- Ben is the third member of his family to achieve the Eagle rank from Troop 2

- DJ, Jon, Tyler, AJ, Josh and Nick all came to Troop 2 from Pack 73

- Ben is our first Eagle scout who crossed over from Pack 2

- All 7 scouts served as Den Chiefs

 

These 7 scouts have the distinction of earning their rank during the celebration of the 100th year of both Troop 2 and the Eagle rank itself.

Climbing - Overnight at Carabiner's Indoor Climbing Gym - New Bedford, MA

Payment and paperwork due by: March 12, 2012 Meeting at the Weymouth Heights Club

March 24 at 5:00 pm and return back on March 25 at 9:00 am

Cost is $50.00 per climber

$5.00 per adult non-climber

Each Scout will need to have a parent fill-in and sign the Safety Agreement.

Do not wear jeans – running pants or gym shorts work best you will be in a harness all night.
Sports Bottle – No open containers are allowed on the gym floor.

Welcome Karl and Alek

Troop 2 welcomes two new scouts, Alek and Karl,  from Pack 303 in North Weymouth, who crossed over on Friday, March 2nd. Both scouts achieved the Arrow of Light, and in fact, participated in a very active program, completing all Webelos achievements,

 

Please be sure to say hello to both scouts and their dads this evening at our weekly meeting.
