On Saturday June 19th, Pack 2 will be running a Car Wash Fund Raiser. The event runs from 8:30am to Noon at the 99 Restaurant on Route 18, S. Weymouth.

John Murphy named District Cubmaster of the Year!

John Murphy has been blessed to be named, "District Cubmaster of the Year" for Great Ponds District of the Old Colony Council.  He will receive his award at the awards Dinner scheduled for Friday, May 7th, 2010. This award highlights John's outstanding leadership of Pack 2.  However, in speaking with John, he stresses that ALL the leaders within Pack 2, including the work of the Pack Committee, the Pack Planning Committee, each Den Leader, and all the Den Chiefs, share in this award with him for the outstanding contributions to our Cub Scouts and Pack. 

Quoting John, "I am so appreciative of all of the support that I have received this year from the Scouts, Families and Leaders of Pack 2."

We at Pack 2 ALL feel that John is VERY deserving of this award.  Congratulations John!!

Welcome to our Newest Scouts

Troop 2 would like to pass along a warm welcome to the newest additions to our troop.  We recently had three boys cross-over from Pack 2 Webelos to Troop 2, at the Pack 2 Blue & Gold banquet. Our newest scouts are Antonio, Devin and Nate.

Scout Sunday 2/7

On the day before the 100th birthday of scouting, Troop 2 joined Pack 2 in attending mass at Immaculate Conception Parish.  During the mass we had two of our boys, Jonathan and Matthew, helping as Altar Servers.  We congratulate all the Cub Scouts who earned and received religious awards this year:

Den Chiefs go off to Training

To the credit of these boys, they were willing to pass on our canoe trip and go to Den Chief training. These Den Chiefs will assist the Cub Scout dens in Pack 2.

Please let them know about Pack 2. It's not too late to sign up - they can join at the first Pack meeting. Boys can join Cub Scouts when they start first grade.
The Pack holds it's first meeting on September 16, 5:45pm at the First Church Weymouth.
