2010 Eagle Banquet - note of thanks

Our 2010 Eagle Banquet was a great success. As an organization we officially recognized the achievements of four recent Eagle Scouts. The food was great, the drummers sounded fantastic and many scouts were also awarded Rank Advancement and Merit Badges.

It goes without saying that putting on such an event is a large task and it would never have been possible without the work and effort of many people – the people who make scouting possible for your boy. Plans for this event started months ago and the work started at just about the same time. The Troop would like to thank the people involved in all the following aspects of making this event the success it was:

  • The Weymouth Heights Club for their support
  • The people that worked with the boys on their advancement throughout their career
  • Those adults serving on the Troop’s Eagle Board
  • The committee members that planned and organized the event
  • Our Scoutmaster, his assistants and all the committee members for their constant support
  • The people who contacted the many political dignitaries for awards and letters of recognition
  • The parents that organized and ran the raffles or donated raffle items
  • The people that printed the tickets and programs
  • Businesses that donated items, loaned us equipment or helped us with their services
  • The volunteers that made the many shopping trips for the event
  • Anyone that helped set up the hall and hang the banners
  • The menu planners and cooks that worked at either the WHC or Immaculate Conception
  • The many kitchen helpers, pot scrubbers and food servers
  • The scouts that played bugle or drums at the banquet
  • Anyone that spoke during the event or helped to run the ceremonies
  • The photographers that captured the event for us
  • Those that helped clean up the hall and kitchen after the event
  • The people that put away the troop gear and equipment after the event was over
For those that know they are mentioned in several of the above – we extend a special thanks for your dedication.
