Troop 2 Upcoming dates - June 25/26/27 and July

Saturday June 25 - 9 AM WHC/Troop 2 Work Party and Community Service at the clubhouse

Sunday June 26th - Plans to honor our two long serving scoutmasters, Ron Parry and Franklin Pratt, at Fairmount Cemetery, 10 AM Sunday - full uniforms, will last about an hour.

Monday June 27th – 6 PM - JF PRICE pit Trip.  Arrive at 6pm at front gate, we will be walking into the pit.  Pickup at gate by 8:15

NO meeting on July 4th

Monday, July 11 - 7:30 PM all money’s for camp are due ($250.00 per person)

Monday July 18 - 7:30 PM last meeting before summer camp


On Sunday, June 26th, we will be honoring our former scoutmaster Ron Parry on the 10th anniversary of his passing, and his predecessor, Franklin Pratt, by placing wreathes on their graves and conducting a brief graveside service, at Fairmount Cemetery, Cedar Street, East Weymouth.

Scouts are urged to attend in full uniforms, and we’ll assemble at the Cedar Street entrance at 10 AM. Parents and families are welcome to attend. We’ll be at the cemetery for about an hour.

Reminder - Summer Camp at Cliff Island in NH will be held from July 23 to July 31 - all scouts planning to attend MUST to RSVP for this event, via email or in person, by  June 27th. 

As a reminder  - attendance at scout meetings and events throughout the year is a requirement to be eligible to attend camp. If you haven’t been a regular attendee at weekly meetings and events, we’re not expecting you to attend summer camp.

Cost for Camp 2016 is $250.00 per person. There is no longer a family maximum cost cap, and we no longer offer a free week to Eagle Scouts. All attendees must present a check for the week at the meeting on July 11th. Payment in full is expected at that time.
