returned at this meeting.
Thursday
November 16 – Eagle Scout Advisor Program begins – Clubhouse, 7:00 PM – this is
a new program, and all life scouts and parents, and anyone with questions on
the Eagle scout program and process are welcome to attend. Staff will be
available every Thursday evening to meet with scouts working toward this rank,
reviewing paperwork, project proposals, and progress.
Saturday
November 18 - Campout and outdoor activities day at Valley Pines.
Members of Pack 2 Webelos will be joining us for the day at VP, and many will stay to camp for the night.
Scouts
are needed to assist with a range of activities during the day, and ALL scouts
from the troop are strongly urged to attend for all or part of the weekend.
Please see Mr. Chase if you are unable to attend.
Active camping is critical for scouts to progress in rank and is measured as part of our Journey to Excellence as a troop. Many scouts sparsely attend camping events throughout the year, other than summer camp, and this is a barrier to their rank advancement.
Sunday
November 19 – 1 PM to 2:30 PM – Youth Protection Training for 2018 registration
cycle. Mayflower Council requires YPT renewal on a yearly basis, and this cycle
is compressed due to the merger of councils. All adult planning to register or
renewing registrations must either attend this in person session or present
their certificate of completion for the online module at our meeting on 11/20.
Monday November 20 – Meeting at the clubhouse – reminder, scouts should report with their scout book, pen/pencil, and a notebook. Drum Practice is at 7 PM, meeting starts at 7:30 and ends at 9 PM. Dues for membership renewal must be paid at this meeting.
