Troop 2 Reminder

Troop 2 heads up for our 61st year on cliff island for summer camp on Saturday at 5:30 AM.

You’re welcome to join our caravan. from the clubhouse. If your son needs a ride please let us know.

A few notes

Please send your son with ample water (we suggest a case) as our treated water supply will not be available until mid morning.

Bag lunch is not required as we will have cold cuts at Lunchtime.

Arrival time at Wellington State Park is typically by 8:30 AM and we hope to have your help as we unload our gear and load the boats to go to the island before you turn around to had back to Weymouth.

Troop gear goes over first and we ask that your son place his footlocker with the others, label his cot and personal gear, and pack as much as he can together to minimize lost belongings.

Please be sure your son does not pack his life jacket in his gear as he will need it for the boat rides over to the island.

Arrival with watershoes and a bathing suit on is a great idea.

Our troop gear will be packed in the U-Haul at noon on Friday, around noon at the clubhouse, if you're available to stop by and help out we appreciate it.

The schedule for this week includes focus on merit badges and advancement. We are offering several new badges, and encourage all scouts attending camp participate in the program. We also are planning a hike, a trip to Sculptured Rocks, the Mile Swim, and a canoe excursion across the lake.  Scouts and Adult volunteers attending camp should have a wonderful and successful week on the island.

During the week if you need to reach us, email at troop2weymouth@gmail.com, or call/text 617 413 4437. We also ask that you limit postings on social media and associated check ins to ensure safety of our scouts and adults. We will frequently post on the Troop's Facebook group, and will post daily updates on the Blog as well.

If you have any questions or concerns, or feedback, please let us know via email or in person on Thursday evening or Friday afternoon. Otherwise, we'll see you on the beach at Wellington State Park!
