Troop 2 Weekly Update

It was a damp night, but thanks to all Scouts who attended the Video Game Trailer night - everyone had fun.

Our updated schedule is below. Please note changes and additions.


Troop 2 Updated Schedule - August – September 2018

Saturday and Sunday 8/18/-/8/19 – Matt K’s Eagle Project
Monday 8/20 - Canoe Night, Esker Park (enter at Puritan Rd by Boy Scout Bridge), 6:30 PM - 8 PM
Monday 8/27 - Softball, Libby Field (Middle St, opposite Town Hall), 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Monday 9/3 – No Meeting, Labor Day
Monday 9/10 – Camp Awards Night First Church - Full Uniforms, 7:30 PM
Note – MassJam payment due NO LATER THAN 9/10 - $50.00 Per Person.
Monday 9/17 – TROOP 2 FALL SCHEDULE starts – full uniforms, Drums at 7, meeting 7:30 - 9
Monday 9/24 – Weekly Meeting, Clubhouse, Drumming at 7
New Event! - Friday, 9/28 Troop 2 Meat Raffle, Cathay Center from 7-10pm
Monday 9/30 – Gym Night and Troop Committee Meeting, 8- 9 PM, First Church Weymouth

Saturday – Monday, October 6-8 - MassJam
Meat Raffle details –Troop 2 will be sponsoring a Meat Raffle at the Cathay Center restaurant, Bridge St in North Weymouth, on 9/28 from 7- 10 PM. We need help that evening with sales of raffle tickets, cash box, decorations, and runners for the raffle.  Please spread the word with family and friends. A social media post will be provided in early September to share as well.  All proceeds will be used to defray the costs of our fall programming.
MassJam Update  - Troop 2 will be participating in MassJAM - October 6-8 2018 – along with thousands of Scouts, Webelos, and Venturers from Massachusetts and surrounding states. This event is held on the Cape Cod Fairgrounds in East Falmouth, Massachusetts. 
Cost for the event is $50.00 per person, and must be paid by 9/10. Carpooling will be a necessity as the number of vehicles is strictly controlled by the event staff. We need a headcount for this event ASAP – if you are planning to attend, please let us know at troop2weymouth@gmail.com.

Upcoming Eagle Project
What: Matt Kowalski’s Eagle Scout Project
When: Saturday 8/18 – Sunday 8/19
9:00 AM -1:00 PM Saturday
2:30 – 4:00 PM Sunday
Where: Teen Center, 1393 Pleasant Street, Basement.
Wear comfortable clothes, work will include cutting and drilling. Lunch of pizza and drinks will be served.
