The 10 scoutsfrom Troop 2 who recently received the Ad Altare Dei award were honored today at the 10 AM mass at Immaculate Conception Church by Rev. William Salmon.
The group was called to the altar, and each scout was presented with a neck ribbon inscribed with recognition from the parish.
In his sermon Rev. Salmon mentioned the hard work and dedication this group of young men undertook to pursue and complete this award. Their achievement as a group shows perseverence, scout spirit, and underscores the importance of working hard as an individual while participating as part of a unit.
Each scout worked on his materials as both part of a classroom group, and on their own with their parents, their instructors as well as Rev. Salmon to complete this medal. Their teamwork and focus on this effort further illustrates the goals of scouting.
Please join us in congratulating these 10 scouts for their achievement!
