Event details - Flag Retirement and Turkey Dinner
Date: Saturday, November 17, 2012
Place: Valley Pines Campground, 505 Grove Street, Norwell
Please bring a dessert.
Schedule of Events
10:00 AM Scouts should arrive at VP
12:00 PM: Start time for dinner and ceremonies
1:00 PM: Turkey Dinner, presented by the WHC and Troop 2
2:00 PM: Flag Retirement Ceremony - David Chase, Troop 2 Scoutmaster
3:00 PM: Event ends. Boy Scouts spending the night at VP will be setting up tents and gear.

Boy Scouts staying overnight should plan to prepare their supper – lunch will be provided (turkey dinner) and should dress warmly, preparing to sleep overnight in conditions between 35 and 45 degrees.

Notes:
  • Scouts MUST wear their uniform shirts and neckerchiefs for the ceremony, and can change into street clothes afterward.
  • Bring your own chair
  • Parking is limited, please carpool if possible - do not drive on our neighbors lawn.
  • Please feel free to bring non-alcoholic beverages
  • Please arrive promptly at noon, and plan to leave around 3 PM to give the scouts time to clean up the campground and set up for their overnight stay.
