Troop 2 Events and Announcements


1. Upcoming Troop Events

Wednesday, 9/25 – Cub Scout Pack 2 Pack Meeting, First Church 6-7 PM  (Boy Scouts encouraged to attend in uniform to help the Cubs)

Thursday, 9/26 –  Bottle and Can sorting, 7PM at the Clubhouse  – Adults are encouraged to help us sort, count and package redeemable bottles and cans to raise funds for the program.

Sunday 9/29 – Observances for the 390th anniversary of the First Church, Weymouth Heights, on Sunday Sept 29th - Scouts should meet in full uniform at the front of the church at 9:30 AM.

Monday 9/30 – Summer Camp Court of Honor First Church 8 PM - Please join us for cake to support the achievements of all the Scouts. Full uniforms, including sash. Scout Families are encouraged to join us as we award badges and rank advancement earned over the summer.

Saturday 10/5 – Great Pumpkin Give-A-Wey – Troop, Pack and WHC – meet in uniform at 12:00 at the Town Hall

Monday   10/7– Meeting at the Clubhouse – Full Uniform - Drumming at 7 PM

2. Our trip to Peddock’s Island Sept 21-22 was lots of fun. Scouts hiked, explored the island, had a beach fire, lunch and taco dinner, and slept in the yurts through the late evening downpour!  Thank you to Mr. Harper, Mr. Obrien, Mr. Brummett, Mr. Kowalski, Mr. Jack Kelley, Mr. MacCallum, and our Scoutmaster, Mr. David Chase for their help and support on the island.   

3. Eagle Scout candidate information -  If you are a Life scout, working toward Eagle, the project proposal and application workbook has been updated as of Sept 1. To obtain approval from Old Colony Council proper forms must be used for the project proposal and project report.

Candidates should report to regular meetings at the WHC at 7 PM to work with the Eagle Coordinator, and should contact Scoutmaster David Chase in advance to ensure the coordinator is available to meet with you.
