Reminders

- Registration & Dues

November is registration time for Troop 2. In Scouting this is part of our "rechartering" process.

Our Troop is sponsored by the Weymouth Heights Club, via an annual charter, and for over 100 years our program has been registered with the Boy Scouts of America. Our new annual charter will be issued at the end of this year, and as we prepare for this we first organize our scouts and adults, collect dues, and update records.

  • Scout membership dues for Troop 2 are $100.00, which covers all registration fees.
  • Adult membership in Troop 2 requires completion of Youth Protection training every two years. Dues for adult registration are $50.00.
Registration includes subscription to the monthly Scouting magazine, and all scout families receive Boy’s Life magazine as part of their renewal. We firmly believe that no scout should be unable to participate based on hardship, and financial assistance is available for any scout with demonstrated need. Flexible payment plans are also an option for high cost events such as summer camp and the ski trip. Please contact us at troop2weymouth@gmail.com with any questions.

- Ski Trip Details

Our annual Ski Trip will be held at Shawnee Peak, Maine, from Friday evening, 1/10 - Sunday 1/12. Cost will be $150.00 per skiier ($40.00 for nonskiiers).

Forms are available on the blog.

This event books fast, and we will have a waiting list available.

We also need a few adults to help with cooking and transportation,  and on the mountain. Please coordinate with our Scoutmaster, Mr. David Chase.

New this year, families are encouraged to join us for the weekend to take advantage of the group skiing rates. All are welcome for dinner on Saturday night at the Shawnee Peak House.

Scouts will stay at the Shawnee Peak House, and families can arrange accommodations nearby - a suggestion is to check the Pleasant Mountain Inn in nearby Bridgton, Maine, or accommodations in North Conway NH which is less than 15 miles away from the mountain.
