Ad Altare Dei update

This Sunday is the Mass for presentation of the Ad Altare Dei medals and the Bronze Pelican Awards at the Cathedral in Boston.  Instruction are listed below.   

In addition to this event, Father Joe Rossi is having a special Mass to recognize the scouts on Sunday June 1 at 12:00 noon at the Immaculate Conception Church.

Instructions for Recipients

LIGHT OF CHRIST PARVULI DEI FAMILY OF GOD PILLARS OF FAITH

1. Report to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel (left of main altar) Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington St., Boston, 02118, no later than 1:00pm, on Sunday,
May 18, 2014. For directions go to www.holycrossboston.com Parking is
limited. Garage is located Harrison Avenue.
2. Recipients should be in uniform for Mass and to receive their medal.
3. Please bring your unit flag and flag stand. No stands will be provided.
4. At 1:45 p.m. you will be led in procession to the main altar of the Cathedral.
5. At a given signal, you will be escorted to the altar to receive your medal.
6. When you get back to your seat, pin the medal in the proper position on uniform.
7. Parents, relatives and friends of the recipients are invited to attend Mass and
awards ceremony.
8. To avoid confusion, we request no pictures be taken until after the Mass.
9. After the Mass, pictures may be taken with the celebrant.
