Adult volunteers attending camp must attend the final orientation meeting on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM at the Clubhouse.
1. Summer Camp Reminders
At this time all paperwork and payments for camp should be turned in. All scouts should have a tent partner, and should be ready to begin final preparations for camp.
Our schedule is below
- Sunday 7/20 - pre camp meeting for all adults attending summer camp - we will go over the notes from last year, assign any new responsibilities, and arrive at a final headcount for the week.
- Monday 7/21 - packing – last Monday before camp
- Saturday 7/26 - 8/3 Summer Camp
- Monday 8/4 – unpack night from camp
- Monday 8/11 – outdoor event TBD
- Monday 8/18 – outdoor event TBD
- Monday 8/25 – outdoor event TBD
- Monday 9/1 - no meeting due to Labor Day Holiday
- Monday 9/8 - First meeting of the school year - full uniforms required - scouts interested in pursuing the Catholic Religious Awards (classes will begin in late September) will meet with Mrs. McCabe to discuss.
2. Jonathan Bruynell’s Eagle Scout Project
Where: North Weymouth Library, North Street
When: Saturday July 19th 9-12
What: We will be weeding areas along the library. You may want to bring gloves so your hands don’t get dirty.
Directions from the club house: Head Northwest on North Street towards Bridge Street for about a mile and the library will be on your right.
Any and all help will be appreciated even if you can’t stay the whole time. Once we are done there will be pizza for our lunch. By showing up you will get service hours which you need for rank advancement. This will also count towards community service hours.
