Troop 2
Committee Meeting recap
On June 1 we
had a troop committee meeting to recap the events from the month of May,
including the church awards, cemetery flagging, parade, and bike trip.
The bike trip
was a big success – scouts and adults reported great weather and fun, including
a trip to the beach and an ice cream stand social. This event was planned as a
“break even” event financially, and any leftover funds will be rolled into our
next event.
Following
that discussion, a full cost breakdown for this event was discussed, and the
correlation between the event pricing and the cost was discussed. As a
reminder, we plan into an event the cost of special extras and treats, as well
as “overhead” such as fuel, replacement items, rental fees, food,
transportation, and parking. If you have any questions regarding event costs,
finances, or the troop budget, please direct them to Mr. Brian Chase, our Troop
Committee Chairman.
We also
discussed plans for the summer, including summer camp, and other events.
As we move through the summer schedule we’re beginning to plan the
events through the fall. To help set your expectations, some of those events
are shown below
