Cellphone Policy reminder
Troop 2 Weymouth Cell Phone Policy
It has been the stated policy of Troop 2 Weymouth
for several years that cell phones are discouraged at events and meetings. Due
to recent unfortunate events, this policy is now a mandatory exclusion, and is
expected to be fully complied with and will be enforced.
NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT TO ANY
TROOP 2 EVENT.
If a scout brings a phone to a meeting or event, it
must be placed in the box designated by the Scoutmaster.
No exceptions.
The phone will be retrieved from the box at the end
of the meeting or event.
Any infraction of this policy will be handled as
follows - if a scout chooses not to turn over his phone, upon the discovery of
the device, the scoutmaster will confiscate the item and return it at the end
of the event. The parent will be contacted and a meeting with the parent
and scout to discuss this infraction is required. A second offense may result
in the scout being asked to leave the organization.
If you have any questions or concerns, please
contact troop2weymouth@gmail.com
