Citizenship in the Community recap and homework assignment

21 Troop 2 Scouts working on their Citizenship in the Community merit badge attended the Town Council meeting last night. Video of the event is at this location


Our focus after attending the Town Council meeting last night is to complete requirement 3 as homework


Do the following:


a. Attend a meeting of your city, town, or county council or school board; OR attend a municipal, county, or state court session.
b. Choose one of the issues discussed at the meeting where a difference of opinions was expressed, and explain to your counselor why you agree with one opinion more than you do another one.


This assignment is due at our meeting on Monday, 3/14, is to review either the discussion around the Weymouth School Budget, or discussion of the blight ordinance. Please provide a paragraph that outlines the issue, your thoughts both for and against the issue you choose, and come prepared to engage in lively discussion at our Monday meeting.
