Participation reminder to all

As we roll into a busy May and June, and begin to look forward to Summer Camp, please keep in mind the importance of participation and scout spirit.

Saturday May 14 is our "Say Thanks to Mom" Pancake Breakfast from 9 AM to Noon. All scouts should attend, however more importantly scouts who need community service for rank advancement, or to complete requirements for Citizenship in the Community should plan to attend and assist with this event to fulfill obligations.

In May we also have two mandatory events - Replacement of Flags for Memorial Day, and the Memorial Day Parade. In early June we have our Bike Trip, and the Cub Scout Canoe Day at Whitmans Pond.

There are also work parties planned for community service at the clubhouse throughout May and June and July.

If you plan to attend Summer Camp, the expectation is you'll be actively and regularly participating in these events and opportunities for service, as well as regularly attending our weekly meetings. This is the case for scouts as well as adults who hope to join us at Cliff Island. If you're not participating in the months leading up to camp, we're not expecting you'll be joining us on the island.

If you have any questions, please email us at troop2weymouth@gmail.com, or contact Mr. Chase.
