- Thanks to all who participated in Scout Sunday observances at Immaculate Conception Church on Sunday. We plan to join the congregation at the First Church, Weymouth Heights on Saturday 2/12 for their observances. Service is at 10 AM – Scouts should arrive at 9:45 in full uniform
- On Wednesday we shared the death of Eagle Scout Gerald Robert Faunce Jr.
Troop 2 leaders and scouts are encouraged to gather before our weekly meeting, at 7 PM, at the McDonald-Keohane Funeral Home on Sea St in North Weymouth to join our troop leaders as we pay respects to the Faunce family. Afterward scouts should proceed to our weekly meeting at the clubhouse
- During our weekly meeting we will be conducting a uniform inspection. As a reminder, scouts should report in green pants, with a scout belt, neckerchief, and scout shirt. Rank advancement should be added within a week to the uniform. Recent informal review shows some Life scouts are still showing their Second Class rank on their shirts, and some are displaying no badge of rank. This is not proper uniforming, and needs to be addressed immediately.
- Scouts are currently working on several merit badges in the clubhouse and garage. Any scouts participating in the WOODCARVING badge, please bring a small pocket knife or exacto knife to the next few scout meetings.
