Weymouth Heights Club information

Who is the Weymouth Heights Club?

The Weymouth Heights Club is a nonprofit, volunteer organization. The goal of the organization is to improve and enrich the lives of the youth of Weymouth by sponsoring and organizing youth and community groups.

The Weymouth Heights Club proudly sponsors Troop 2 of Weymouth, the oldest Boy Scout troop in the Old Colony Council, and one of the oldest in the United States, Cub Scout Pack 2 and two Girl Scout troops.

Several clubs and groups use the hall for frequent meetings, and there is an active, growing membership in this organization that meets regularly at the clubhouse.

Can we join the club?

Absolutely! Membership dues are $10.00 per year. We encourage all parents and friends of the scouting programs to join the club.

There are two upcoming events – on Saturday, November 16th the Club is sponsoring a Turkey Dinner and the Troop and Pack will hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony at Valley Pines, off Grove Street in Norwell. The Club is also holding a Comedy Night fundraiser at the Weymouth Elks on Saturday, November 23rd.

How can we help support the club and the scouting programs?

There are several ways to support us. Membership is encouraged, and shows your scout that you are engaged and supporting the programs of the organization.

We also collect returnable bottles and cans, which can be deposited in the drop boxes at the clubhouse, as well as the one in front of the North Weymouth Fire Station on North Street or the collection boxes at Immaculate Conception Church in East Weymouth. Empty beer case boxes and large clear contractor bags are also a need, and we gratefully accept donations.

All proceeds from the bottle and can program directly benefit the programs the club supports.

Matching gifts or corporate donations are also a fantastic way to support any organization. The WHC is a nonprofit organization, and direct donations may be tax deductible. Companies that support matching gifts can be found at this address http://www.weymouthschools.org/uploadedFiles/Support_Our_Schools/matching_companies_mass.pdf
