Weekly reminders
1. Camp paperwork has begun to be distributed. As a reminder, payment and your signed coversheet from the camp packet is due no later than 7/14.
2. Camp cost is $240.00 per scout for the week, and $30.00 per day for adults, with a family maximum of $700.00. Payment must be made in advance of arrival at camp.
3. All scouts will need to provide a recent physical/BSA Medical form. As a rule, for ALL events we need to know if your son has any medical conditions, required medicines, or other consideration. In particular, please share with us if your son has been recently hospitalized or is under a doctors special care...this would include any recent hospitalizations, dental work, and any other situations that may cause your son discomfort during the week. For instance, we need a list of all prescription medicines and instructions, and any special notes (fear of dark, spiders, weather, etc) and an up to date contact list in the event we need to reach a parent.
For summer camp in particular, keep in mind - we camp on an island without electricity or running water - and the closest hospital is at least 30 minutes away from the mainland. Many of our adult volunteers have medical training, however we do not have a doctor on staff. If your son has an existing condition we need to know about it beforehand so we can have an action plan ready.

Camp Update - guidelines for a safe week
Parents - please be
sure to have a conversation with your son well in advance of our trip to Cliff
Island.
We have reasonable
prohibitions that must be followed to ensure the safety and security of your
son, and the safety and security of others. These regulations apply to ALL participants - adults and youth.
We camp on an island in a different state, and are subject to
the rules of that state and the park we are camping in. Also, while
this location is not remote wilderness, we are at least 30 minutes from
the nearest hospital once we hit the beach, and do not have emergency medical staff on site.
If your son violates
these restrictions, you will receive a phone call to pick him up
immediately.
