Parade reminder - temperatures will be in the mid 50's for the parade tomorrow - please dress warmly.

What: Veterans Day Parade
When: November 11th, 2013, 8:30 AM to 11 AM - Please arrive by 8:30 AM

Details: All scouts are expected to march with the Troop in the annual Veterans Day parade to show our appreciation and respect for our veterans and members of the armed forces.

If your son is unable to march, please let our Scoutmaster, Mr. David Chase know in advance.

We will assemble at the Pingree School at 8:30 AM to issue gear and prepare for the parade. Please arrive promptly.

At 8:45 we will move up the driveway to Commercial St, and will line up along the route near the Korean War Memorial, where Life scout Paul Scannell will read "Freedom is not Free" to the assembled veterans.

Please assemble in FULL uniform with comfortable shoes. Wear a warm undershirt and long underwear if it's a chilly morning.

Please do not wear your sash.

Parents, please pick up your son promptly after the parade at Abigail Adams Middle School.

We typically march behind the school and remove our gear. Your best bet might be to park on Academy Avenue, or at the Academy Avenue school and walk up to the middle school to meet your son.

The parade ends at 11 AM when the observances begin at Town Hall on the Memorial Green.

All scouts will carry a flag, a banner, or perform with the Drum Corps.
