People arrived at the lodge in waves, depending on school and work schedules. Some arrived early enough that they managed to work in some daytime skiing.
The menu for tonight included minestrone soup and meatball subs - in case people didn't eat on the ride up.
After 6pm most of the group was here and they headed up to the mountain for some night skiing.
Derek and his friends where on one of their first night time runs when he fell - hard. With some assistance he was brought down the mountain and then off to the local hospital. The doctors there were able to confirm that he had broken his wrist, but were unable to set the bone.
The hospital in Portland (about an hour away) was the closest place - so they would need to head there on Saturday. Derek made it back to the lodge about 11:30pm, with his wrist wrapped up and some pain medication. Fortunately Derek's dad was here and was able to go with Derek to the hospital.
