Scoutmaster David Chase will meet members of Troop 2 at 6 PM on Thursday evening outside the funeral home to proceed in as a group. If you can attend, please wear full uniforms.

Vilma C. (Sanesi) O’Connor of Weymouth, passed away peacefully August 18, 2013. Vilma grew up in the St. Catherine Parish community in Somerville. She was an active alumni and class officer of both Somerville High School and Salem State Teacher’s College. In her early years she enjoyed teaching drum majorettes in both Somerville and Belmont. A 52 year resident of Weymouth, Vilma played many roles in the community. She taught second grade for over 30 years in the Weymouth Public School system, earning her master’s degree in education from UMass Boston.  Vilma was a daily communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish and very strong in her faith, teaching CCD at both Sacred Heart and Immaculate Conception Parish. She was recently honored for 50 years of support from the Boy Scouts of Troop 2 in Weymouth. As a sports fan she was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football but was especially fond of BC Athletics as a whole. She also had a love for German Shepherds but her main passion was her family. They were the foundation of all that was important to her.
Devoted mother of Jon “Boots” O’Connor and his wife Lynne of Bedford and Chris Corriveau and her husband Stéphane of Maryland. Loving sister of Ralph Sanesi of Pembroke and the late Zola Ventre of Weymouth. Cherished “Mumps” of Victoria and Austin O’Connor, Alessandra, Annelise, Nicholas and Adrianna Corriveau. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Chapel, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at a later date.  Donations in Vilma’s memory may be made to Troop 2 Weymouth, 598 North Street, Weymouth, MA 02188.
